I thought I was busy in October - what with the Tarkovsky Retrospective, the One World Film Festival and the TV series A Date With Vampire III. But it looks like I'll be just as busy in the coming weeks. The Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film and Video Festival is coming on Nov 25 - Dec 5. And I've bought tickets to almost every single film :)
I'm going to do that dreaded marathon viewing again. I just hope I get to rest well that couple of days or I'll fall asleep like I did yesterday watching Motorcycle Diaries. I guess not many people would fall asleep watching Gael Garcia Bernal and the beautiful South American scenery. Maybe it's because of the Tarkovsky films I'd just seen. I slept through every single one of them except Stalker. Now I'm conditioned to fall asleep in the cinema whenever there're no dialogues.

The Power of Nightmares
Nov. 7th, 2004 01:55 pmJust watched the BBC documentary "The Power of Nightmares". It showed us how politicians created the illusion of organised terrorist networks to control the masses.
How come we don't have an independent broadcasting company like BBC? Why don't more people get to watch such programmes? I had to download it via bittorrent (and I heard that bittorrent may be outlawed in Hong Kong in the near future.)
