Just watched Gracie 'cause I felt obligated to watch every football-related film I could get my hands on. I didn't have much expectation for it 'cause let's face it, most football films are crap. (Much like lesbian films, in this respect) The film actually turned out to be quite enjoyable, if you can look past some of the weaking acting and the Captain Tsubasa-esque ending.
But my view is probably skewered because the prettiness of the Bowen family is so damn distracting. I don't know what it is about American films, but does Gracie's dad have to be Dermot Mulroney and does he need to look so gorgeous in this film? I literally could not concentrate whenever he was on the screen.
