1 July was the anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. I went with my mum and dad that afternoon to the annual march for democracy. A housewife walking in front of us said it was like a carnival. Well, we don't have Mardi Gras but at least we have this.
My family stood in Victoria Park for over an hour to wait for our turn to start walking. But we were the lucky ones. Those who got there early and were waiting in the middle of the park started even later than us.
We walked for about one and half hour until we reached the foot of the hill where the government HQ was located. The narrow path to the govt HQ was packed with people, so we did not get to go up that hill. We were so exhausted that day but we still got up at 2:45am to watch the semi-final. And I went to work at 8 right after. I was so tired after work that I went straight to bed when I got home.
Now Euro 2004 is almost over. I've got to start my life again.
