Was reading this story at my grandma's birthday banquet. Wasn't entirely appropriate, I guess, but I needed something to give me a buzz.
It was typical Irvine Welsh, which was great.
But as I read on, it looked more and more like a gay porn story: A homophobic guy went drinking with his mate and met his mate's twin sister who was fucking hot despite her resemblance to her brother. And then they fucked, of course.
And then he saw himself fucking his mate. Turns out he died 'on the job' and was then punished by god to fuck his male acquaintances as a ghost until he stopped feeling guilty about it.
Honest, I prefer Welsh's longer stories like Marabou Stork Nightmare than his short stories. Like Acid House, this story really did feel a bit lame. I'm not saying the idea was bad but it could be better dealt with.
