opengoalI spent days trying to write a Souness/Tugay fic but this Ian Harte/Gary Kelly drabble is all I have to show for it.

AUTHOR'S NOTES : Inspired by the festive spirit and born out of the carcass of an aborted mpreg fic. I'm sorry about the lack of research before writing this fic.
Every time he was lost in a blur of dressing room banter too fast for his rudimentary grasp of Spanish, Ian wanted to call home. His home in Leeds. Where it had felt alright to be silly, alright to do what he probably shouldn't be.
In the arrivals hall, he dragged his feet. His mum swept him into her arms and he stared at Gary, the man he was aching to see. His mum's baby brother. Her clown prince. Gary's kiss was warm, like it had always been. And it should be making everything alright like it used to be.
